Fashion Friday

Oh look at little Baby Mao in his new hat! How hilarious!

For some unknown reason, he thinks he looks just like a handsome leopard. I am sorry but I am unable to stop laughing.

Much gratitude to Latte for today's fashion! Very amusing. Mwa ha ha ha

Yours, laughing at Baby Mao

Thursday Meme

Greetings subjects!

Today I have (once again) to pass over to the spoilt brat ( I mean darling brother) that is Baby Mao. Apparently he is of some interest to some cats and has been tagged for the Seven Random Things meme. I am going to assume you all know the rules and I think everycat has been tagged already - if you haven't, please consider yourself tagged!

Right, I am off to eat steak (again) *yawn *I am so tired of the menu at this place. Handing over to Baby Mao:

Hi everyone!!!! I am so excited that I got tagged for this! Big thanks to Hendrix/Bendrix for the tag! I love to talk about myself, almost as much as my brother does (but not quite). I have decided to incorporate the seven facts into a Thursday Thirteen, so here goes:

1. I think I may be the runt of the litter because I am really quite a small baby boy. Or Yao-Lin is just really huge. My mummy hasn't quite decided yet.

2. I call my humans my Mummy and Daddy because I am the baby of the family and they spoil me rotten!

3. That's not to say I am without airs or graces. I am just not as into the whole ' royal Siamese prince' thing as Yao-Lin. I know I can get my own way simply by being cute!

4. I love cuddles with my Mummy and Daddy. I purr and purr and roll over on my back and get my belly tickled. It's great!

5. I am not bothered by Yao-Lin. He does bully me a little bit but I know that secretly he loves me lots and lots. Especially when I sit on his head to keep him warm.

6. I really do smell of poo. I can't help it, I just do. I get poo on my paws and then I walk around the house. I do it on purpose and Mummy and Daddy still say ' Oh, stinky little Baby Mao, what did you do that for?'. I think they are a bit dense.

7. I am VERY vocal. When I whinge, which is all the time, my Mummy and Daddy jump to attention - they ask ' What's wrong Baby Mao?' and then I whinge some more until I get cuddled or fed.

8. I have really helped Yao-Lin in trashing the house. I scratch and I claw every box and bit of furniture in sight. I do have giant scratching posts but I just prefer the stuff that belongs to my Mummy and Daddy. I only scratch stuff when they aren't here so that they can't tell me off!

9. Mummy and Daddy say I am clever because I can play fetch. *duh* ALL Siamese do that!!!

10. I am scared of the big outdoors. Besides, when Yao-Lin goes out to play, I get fed lots of yummy treats so I don't have much incentive to go out.

11. Sometimes, if there are two food bowls out, I will sit on one and eat from the other. This is so that I don't have to share. I don't really like sharing.

12. My favourite trick is to climb up the curtains and then drop onto Mummy and Daddy's faces when they are asleep. I am small enough to be agile but sturdy enough to cause pain. It is pretty funny!

13. It was my idea to defrost the freezer. I was a bit cross with Mummy and Daddy for leaving me alone for so long. I don't feel guilty at all. Should I?

Well, that's all from me for now. I have to go and annoy my brother. I might just go and fart in his face or something. Ha ha!

Love and cuddles and purrs

Saturday - spot the odd one out

Spot the odd one out.

The male slave likes to pose for pictures occasionally. I have no idea why - he is neither as gorgeous nor as photogenic as I . Sadly, you can't see all of my gorgeous face in this picture because the slave's huge head is taking up too much space. *sigh*

Baseball Sunday

Here are some pictures of Baby Mao in his new Baseball shirt. He thinks he looks like a Baseball Superstar. I have tried to explain to him that in England, we don't celebrate Baseball as a national past-time and that in actual fact he looks rather silly. Will he listen to me? NO! He insisted I include these pictures on my blog so I have duly obliged. Only because I can't find any fabulous pictures of me to include.

Meezer Munday

Here is a picture of Mao, looking at a picture of himself on my blog. Honestly, if I didn't know better, I'd say he is as self absorbed as me!

Meezer Munday III/ Tongue Tuesday!!!

This is a picture of baby Mao asleep with his tongue poking out. I think he looks like a real idiot but the slaves think he looks cute! He hardly looks regal - honestly, I think I was adopted - I can't possibly be related to such a reprobate!
On a lighter note, here is a copy of an email I was sent recently. I think it sums up the basic differences between cats and dogs.
What do you think?
Dog and Cat Diary
As seen in a dog's diary:
7 am - Oh boy! A walk! My favourite!
8 am - Oh boy! Dog food! My favourite!
9 am - Oh boy! The kids! My favourite!
Noon - Oh boy! The yard! My favourite!
2 pm - Oh boy! A car ride! My favourite!
3 pm - Oh boy! The kids! My favourite!
4 pm - Oh boy! Playing ball! My favourite!
6 pm - Oh boy! Welcome home Mom! My favourite!
7 pm - Oh boy! Welcome home Dad! My favourite!
8 pm - Oh boy! Dog food! My favourite!
9 pm - Oh boy! Tummy rubs on the couch! My favourite!
11 pm - Oh boy! Sleeping in my people's bed! My favourite!
As seen in a cat's diary:
Day 183 of my captivity... My captors continued to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from clawing the furniture.
Tomorrow I may eat another house plant. Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded - must try this at the top of the stairs.
In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favourite chair - must try this on their bed.
Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, not working according to plan.
There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More important, I overheard that my confinement was due to my powers of inducing "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to myadvantage.
I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait; it is only a matter of time.

A Bit about Baby Mao

I feel I should at least mention the white nightmare that is my baby brother Mao.

He is a tabby point siamese and we share the same mother but have different fathers, much like most of the residents on the Isle of Wight (MOL). Mao is only 6 months old and, truly, is the most annoying kitten in existence. Allow me to explain...

There I was, minding my own business, eating all of the food and getting all of the cuddles when one day, the human slaves invaded my environment with a tiny white bundle of annoyance.

I was angry- oh- I was ENRAGED! I shouted and I yowled and I clawed but it made not the slightest difference. The kitten was here to stay.

I fight with baby Mao and he thinks I am playing. I eat all of the food and he thinks I am cleaning the bowl for him. I ignore him and he thinks it is an invitation for cuddles. How stupid can a cat be? We co-exist, not through choice but necessity. The humans are at work all day and I admit, I did get rather lonely before the white terror came to stay. At least I now have a moving target on which to hone my hunting skills.

It has now been four months and our relationship is much the same. Mao continues to grow, despite my attempts to deprive him of nourishment.

The humans fuss and fawn over baby Mao but I know that it won't last. Soon, they will realise once again who is master in this household and they will bow to my superior siamese-ness. Mwa ha ha ha *rubs paws*.
