Thursday (sad) musings

You may have seen the recent news articles concerning the horses in Amersham, U.K. If not, go HERE to read about it.

The human and I are in accordance with our feelings for once - appalled, shocked, horrified, anguished.

Sometimes, man's inhumanity to animals leaves me speechless.

That made Meowmy shiver and cry. Beans can be so cruel to animals but when it affects horses she cries really hard. Horses are so trusting and completely rely on humans for their care and they trust them. So sad.

I saw this article yesterday on a dog factory. And today Catwoman had a story of a Cat that was put into an oven that she is trying to rescue.

I do not understand how humans can be so cruel. They say cats are cruel, but we do not treat our prey anywhere near as badly as humans treat animals they are supposed to be caring for.

This is very, very terrible and sad. I hope that BAD man has to spend a long, long, long, long, long time locked up.

My Mum won't let me go read the story on the horses because she says it will make her cry and get all snotty (I added the snotty bit).

I am always stunned at how stupid and mean some beans can be though! I think a bean that can treat an animal badly would also treat beans badly and should therefore go to jail for a very long, long time!

This is a horrible story. How could anyone do that? I think the part that sickens me most is that he only faces six months in jail. He ought to be put on hard labor at minimum wage until he pays the 20,000 pound fine and locked up when he isn't working.

I knew about this, having seen it on the news, but the article gave more details - including the fact that one woman had rung the RSPCA 3 times, so I can't help but wonder why they didn't respond before. If this guy only gets six months, well, all I can say is, there is no justice in this country. The whole appalling thing makes me sick. Sheesh, we're supposed to be a nation of animal lovers yet it seems almost daily we hear about some awful cruelty.

That is horrible. I think that sometimes horses get abused even more than cats and dogs. I am also appalled.

I like your new layout, but I believe that photo of you in the header is much much too small Yao-lin!

Mum saw this at work and told us about it when she got home. She couldn't read it properly at work 'cos she knew she's get too sad. Like Karen Jo said, how come this guy is only looking at 6 months in jail...Animal cruelty laws in all countries should have much bigger penalties,
