Paralysed mouse

Did you know that it takes 8 hours to paralyse the back legs of a mouse? By the end of the day, the creature will still try and scuttle away but will soon realise he cannot. Eventually he will slowly drag himself along the floor with his front paws, occasionally glancing up at his tormentor with a pleading stare. It is really quite amusing! I would urge any of you to try it.

The human (who, incidentally, is useless at catching a mouse unless it is partially paralysed) has been calling me Psycho Yao-Lin. I will discipline her later.

According to Wikipedia, ' Emeritus Professor Robert Hare describes psychopaths as "intraspecies predators"'.

Well, if mercilessly torturing a defenceless field mouse for eight hours makes me a psychopath, then so be it. It was a LOT of fun.

You're not psycho, that doesn't seem like a fair description. I wish I could catch a mouse, the only boring things I can find are crickets.

Wow, you are a very good hunter! Nammie gets bored of the little mice after a while so the humans have to find them. Usually under the couch or some other heavy item like the fridge.

Wow, Yao-lin! I read your hunting tales with great interest -- I must commend you on your skill!

The majority of the prey that gets into our house is of the six- or eight-legged variety, but all of us Ballicai tend to hunt as a pack, and we do enjoy toying with our catches.

Once in a while, however, a mouse gets in here, and when it does, mousie look out! *smile*!

I cannot understand why that would make you a psychopath. All you were doing is playing.

Parker said...

Well, that's a long time to play with a mousie, but not quite psychotic long...
are you staying dry and safe?

Did you say psychotic orrr psychic?
We all have a psyche of some sorrrt. Cats arrre naturrral prrredatorrrs. Humans, coincidently, arrre too--unless they're vegetarrrians. Do not give it a second thought. Mice arrre verrrmin and need to be utterrrly destrrroyed. Yourrr slave should be grrrateful that you arrre adept at perrrforrrming such feats of physical prrrowess!

Zippy either plays them to death outside or brings them in alive and kicking so mom can learn to hunt. Mom's used to be reely bad at hunting now she can catch them in a flash! Zippy's a good teacher.

Wow, Yao-lin, you are turning into quite the hunter! I have never seen a real mouse, so I have no idea what I would do if I found one.

Beans just do not understand hunting at all. My beans hunt all day and do not even come back with a paralyzed mouse.

Good work Yao-lin. I fink your beans need more training. But so do mine.

Your royalness: DUDE, what kinda smack talk was the mousie sayin' to get the 8 hour beatdown? ;)
