Overheard in my palace today:
Female Slave " Guess what Yao-Lin just brought in from outside?"
Male Slave (on phone) : " I don't know..a mouse?"
Female Slave: " No, no, he has gone one better than that. Today, obviously ravenously hungry , he has gone next door and stolen a roast lamb bone, most probably from their kitchen!".
Male Slave: " Well get it away from him, he will make a huge mess with that thing!"
Female Slave: " I would but every time I go near him he starts growling and swiping at me with his paws. I'll just hoover up later".

Oh. My. Gosh. That's it Yao-lin, you are the most superb higher being that I know of. First of all you stole from a neighbor's kitchen (can you just imagine them looking for it??). But then you growl and smack your slave because its obviously too important for her to even touch. Bravo.

Wow Yao-lin! Did you go in their house to get it? I need to learn to growl and swipe! Well, I occasionally swipe at my Mum when she passes by, but I have never growled. Perhaps if you are free this weekend I could teleport over and you could teach me how. Maybe we can go next door and see what they have to eat too!

That is a huge lamb bone, Yao-lin. It is amazing that you are so muscular and strong and took the bone home with you. You also must take it to the most expensive carpet and eat it there.
Do your neighbors let you look around in their kitchen, or did you steal that bone from their trash?
I don't blame you for protecting your prize from those trying to steal it away from you.

Yao-Lin, I think this should serve as a Teaching Moment for your humans. A cat should not have to go to a neighbor's house to get lamb, or anything else it desires. I know you have your humans well trained, but in case they don't get the message, please let us know.
What a prize you found. Finders keepers is the way it goes. You have a right to defend it with growling and swiping.
